Overview
What is the ENTS Alumni Exchange?
By bringing successful program alumni back to campus, the Master’s Program in Telecommunications Alumni Exchange will offer current students the opportunity to expose themselves to the current state of the telecommunications industry and to hear personal anecdotes and career experiences from professionals with an ENTS perspective.
What is the Goal of the ENTS Alumni Exchange?
This interaction will provide the invaluable opportunity for students to gain exposure and insight into the wide breadth of career paths available both inside and outside of the telecom industry. The Alumni Exchange will provide a unique and informal atmosphere for ENTS students and ENTS alumni to meet and interact.
What is an Alumni Exchange Presenter Expected to do?
Below we have listed some important items for presenters to consider in order to make their participation in the ENTS Alumni Exchange as easy and successful as possible.
- You will be paired with another ENTS alumnus who will present directly before or after you.
- Please prepare a 15-20 minute presentation, PowerPoint may be helpful, but not required. Please electronically forward your presentation to the ENTS program office 48 hours prior to you scheduled talk.
- Please arrive in the ENTS program office by 3:30pm on the day of your presentation.
- Suggested presentation topics would include: How has your experience in the ENTS program been leveraged to benefit your career?
- A technical discussion about your business ie) what is the meat of what you do? What tools do you use? What are the core competencies of someone in your position?
- Your take on the state of your company’s business/the state of the industry.
- Relevant personal anecdote.
- During Q&A and the reception that follows, students will have the opportunity to interact and network with our alumni guests.
- Provide a packet of company information, brochures etc to be kept in the program office for future student reference.
