ENTS Assistantship Scholarship

Students holding graduate assistantships at the University of Maryland may apply for the ENTS Assistantship Scholarship.  The intent of this scholarship is to recognize students who were competitively selected for an on-campus assistantship and to help defray the cost of tuition.  The scholarship is a merit-based award, and selection of students and amount of scholarship is at the discretion of the Program and subject to available resources.  For consideration, please follow the application guidelines below.

Applications that are late, erroneous, or incomplete will be disqualified.  By submitting an application, students are attesting that the information therein is complete and accurate.

Application Guidelines:

Students must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

  1. Students must hold a Graduate Assistantship appointment (teaching, research, or administrative) at the University of Maryland College Park
  2. Students must be in good standing
  3. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA

Students must submit all of the following materials to the Program Office by close of business on the posted due date:

  1. UM transcript (unofficial is acceptable)
  2. Copy of assistantship offer letter*
  3. Point of contact in payroll unit (business manager or payroll coordinator)

*The Graduate School has posted a Template for assistantship offer letters that is recommended for use.  A copy of your assistantship offer letter will be required even if you are on a continuing appointment (e.g. in your second year).  You may kindly refer the point of contact in your payroll unit to the template linked above in an effort to facilitate your request for offer letter.
