Spirent Communications is forming a students’ club, the Wireless Innovation Team (WIT), at the University of Maryland at College Park. They are actively looking for aspiring technologists and enthusiasts to join this club.   Members will work under the mentorship of Spirent Communications® on cutting edge technology within telecommunications and develop marketable skills aligned to real world job requirements. The club focuses on test methodology innovation in areas such as: Voice over LTE (VoLTE), voice and video over Wi-Fi, audio and video quality, indoor location, and Internet of Things (IoT).

The Systems Engineering group within Spirent will be on campus to deliver a seminar for the Master's in Telecommunications Program of the University of Maryland. They will give an overview of Spirent and the products and services they offer. They will also do a real-time demonstration of VoLTE on their Elevate® network emulation platform.

Through collaboration with global partners and participation with standards organizations, Spirent addresses existing testing challenges and explores emerging requirements. Spanning field and lab, developer tools for detailed analytics, smartphones to IoT devices, 3G to 5G – Spirent experts enable the wireless industry to explore, design, and deliver next-gen services and devices.
