The A. James Clark School of Engineering Winter Commencement will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 7:30-9:00 pm in the EXFINITY Center. No tickets are required for the Clark School Ceremony. Prior to commencement the Clark School will host the Engineering Graduation Dessert Reception. The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Career Fair will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. in the Jeong H. Kim Building. The University of Maryland's Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) Career Fair is co-sponsored by the Engineering Co-Op & Career Services Office (link is external). This even is for current students and alumni and registration is required.
The Systems Engineering group from Spirent was on campus prior to the start of the Fall 2016 semester to encourage students to apply for the Wireless Innovation Team (WIT), a newly formed club here at the University of Maryland. This unique opportunity provided students with more information about wireless test & measurement strategies and allowed students to practice their professional interviewing skills.
Dr. Rikin Thakker of the Master's in Telecommunications Program was invited to speak at the Ministry of Communication and IT's first National Conference on Spectrum Management in New Delhi, India on January 6th and 7th, 2016. The seminar was inaugrated by the minister of C&IT, Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad.
