From the ENTS Program Office :
ENTS Students-
We have good news to share with you. After carefully listening to concerns brought to us through TSAN, the ENTS program requested the university to eliminate the program’s ENTS 608 requirement from its curriculum. We have just been notified that the university has approved our request!
After this May 2007 semester, ENTS graduates will only be required to take 10 courses (4 technical courses, 4 business courses, and 2 electives) and an ENTS 609 project. ENTS graduates can complete their degrees with 33 credits. (Please understand that 33 credits without 10 courses and a project is not enough to graduate.) Please also know that we are not eliminating seminars from the program. The program and TSAN will continue to hold Alumni Exchanges, TSAN speaker series, and other venues that will allow you to learn from industry affiliates.
To eliminate two credits from a master’s program is a major accomplishment. You can be very proud of TSAN and the work they do to continually enhance the ENTS program. They spent months communicating with individuals in the department and submitted a detailed proposal to get this done. TSAN’s efforts towards the elimination of ENTS 608 will benefit both current and future ENTS students.
We hope this news proves to you the power of the student voice. Please continue to update the program with suggestions and concerns you have regarding the program. We specifically hope that you continue or begin taking an active role in TSAN. As a group, you can accomplish great feats.
Congratulations to TSAN and the entire student body!
Sincerely,
